Doxylamine is primarily used as a night-time sleep aid in the short-term management of insomnia. Doxylamine is also used in combination with antitussives and decongestants (eg Pseudoephedrine) for the temporary relief of cold and cough symptoms.
You should take special care in taking doxylamine if you have any of the following conditions:

The LD50 for doxylamine for oral administration in mice is 470mg/kg
